(Interview video) Graduate School of Sport Sciences: Round-table discussion with international students


Waseda University’s Health Promotion: The Joy of Sports and Exercise Unit (Top Global University) held a roundtable discussion with four international students in the Graduate School of Sport Sciences and its English-based Programme.

The students were asked to introduce themselves and then asked about their studies and research activities at the University. Please have a look.

Topic 1: Self Introduction
 
Here, the four students who participated in the roundtable introduce themselves. Even within the same Graduate School of Sport Sciences, the students have different focuses in the areas of Health and Exercise Sciences, and Sport Management.
 


Topic 2: Research Activities
 
In their own words, the students talk about their daily studies and research, as well as their awareness of their respective challenges. Find out what it’s like to learn in the Graduate School of Sport Sciences, including collaborating on research.
 


Topic 3: Campus Environment and Support
 
The students were asked why they chose the Graduate School of Sport Sciences, how they found their supervisor, and about the campus environment and their career plans. What exactly is life like for our international students?
 


Topic 4: Student Life in Japan
 
For a slightly more casual theme, the students were asked about how they spend their weekends in Japan and about Japanese culture.
 


Topic 5: Message to New Students
 
Finally, one by one, the students gave messages to prospective students.
