RESEARCH
Sport is an indispensable part of modern societies, economies and our daily lives. Expectations about the role of sport in society are explanding and include a diverse focus on individual physical fitness, population health promotion, high performance among elite athletes, spectator behavior and consumer engagement. It is anticipated the role of sport in society will continue to evolve, and the Health Promotion Unit of the Faculty of Sport Science aims to be at the cutting edge of research and teaching.
PROGRAM DIVERSITY
The Graduate School was established in order to conduct cutting-edge research and deliver comprehensive evidence-based education in sports studies. Graduate students are offered research guidance in seminars and tutorials and are also able to study advanced, contemporary subjects in sports science and management through interactive lectures. The underlying philosophy of the establishment of this Graduate School is that students should be well prepared to contribute significantly to “the creation of a rich sports culture” through their endeavours across a diversity of areas related to sport.
